NMASH’s Governor’s 2nd Annual Health and Safety Conference

During the opening ceremonies of the Governor’s 2nd Annual Health and Safety Conference, at the Saipan Dai Ichi Hotel on August 17, 2004, U.S. Department of Labor-OSHA Region IX Administrator Frank Strasheim presented Saipan Garment Manufacturers Association’s (SGMA’s) Richard A. Pierce with a performance award.

The award plaque reads: “Region 9 Occupational Safety and Health Administration Regional Administrator’s Award to Richard A. Pierce. Architect of the Excellence 2000 Safety Partnership between the Saipan Garment Manufacturers Association and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Original Sponsor of the Northern Marianas Alliance for Safety and Health. In recognition of extraordinary contributions to advance the protection of working men and women in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands”.
