The Saipan Garment Manufacturers Association donated $800 to the CNMI Safe & Sober Foundation for the “Buckle-Up America/Buckle-Up CNMI Program.”
The Safe & Sober Foundation has been coordinating with students from local high schools, the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) and public safety officials for a safer CNMI roadways.
Luisa Quitugua and Moses Fejeran of the SGMA Resident Managers Committee presented the Safe & Sober Foundation contingency a check during the Northern Marianas Alliance for Safety & Health (NMASH) training exercise at Dai Ichi Hotel held on May 21, 2004.
NMASH also supports recently re-introduced legislation to limit the amount
of windshield tinting in all vehicles on CNMI roadways as another move to
make safer CNMI roads for pedestrians.
